Due to ramp closures on Interstate 65 at Martin Luther King Jr. Street, 30^th Street and 21^st Street, the Indiana State Police, Indiana Department of Transportation and the Indianapolis Police Department are announcing detour routes for motorists leaving the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard from Aug. 5-7.

Detours:

• 16^th Street to I-65 southbound (SB) and I-70 eastbound (EB) and westbound (WB)
• Motorists will continue on 16^th Street past the interstate to Pennsylvania Street and then go south to 11^th Street. At this point they will be able to use the Delaware Street entrance ramp to both I-65 SB and I-70 EB and WB.
• 16^th Street EB to I-65 northbound (NB)
• Motorists will turn south on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street down to 10^th Street, then follow the posted signs to the entrance ramp.
• 30^th Street EB to I-65 SB and I-70 EB and WB
• Motorists will go east on 30^th Street, staying in the left two lanes, then north on Lafayette Road to 38^th Street. By going east on 38^th Street, motorists will have access to I-65 SB which will also lead to I-70 EB and WB.
• 30^th Street to I-65 NB
• Go east on 30^th Street. After Lafayette Road, motorists should use the two left lanes. Turn north on Kessler Boulevard to 38^th Street. Go west on 38^th Street to the I-65 NB entrance ramp.

Closures on Sunday after the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard:

• 38^th Street will be closed to WB traffic at Cold Springs Road. All traffic at this location will either go north on Knollton Road or be turned back east on 39th Street.
  
• The ramp from NB I-65 to 38^th Street/Kessler Boulevard will be closed.
• All traffic entering WB 38^th Street from Kessler will be directed onto NB I-65 and will not be allowed to continue WB on 38^th Street past Guion Road.

These closures are only temporary, and the streets will be reopened as soon as possible after the race.
