
Television coverage of the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard features extensive shows of practice sessions Aug. 4-5 and qualifications Aug. 5 as teams vie for a front-row starting spot at one of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series' most prestigious events. A busy weekend of track activity and behind-the-scenes preparations will culminate with a scheduled 4 ½ hours of coverage Aug. 6 of the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard on NBC.
NBC's live broadcast of the 13th Allstate 400 at the Brickyard will begin with pre-race coverage at 1:30 p.m. (ET) Sunday, Aug. 6, followed by flag-to-flag coverage of the race at 2:30 p.m. The broadcast television talent for the 13th Allstate 400 at the Brickyard: Bill Weber, play-by-play announcer; Benny Parsons, analyst; Wally Dallenbach, commentator; and Allen Bestwick, Matt Yocum, Marty Snider and Dave Burns, pit reporters.
TNT will provide live coverage of NEXTEL Cup qualifying from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (ET) Saturday, Aug. 5, while SPEED Channel will broadcast practice from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Aug. 4-5.
Coverage of the 2006 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard Race Day begins on the IMS Radio Network at 1:30 p.m. (ET) Aug. 6, and the network's experienced team of broadcast professionals will provide flag-to-flag coverage of the event and post-race analysis until 5:45 p.m.
IMS Radio Network coverage of the event kicks off with the race preview from 5-6 p.m. (ET) Friday, Aug. 4. The network will offer live coverage of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup qualifying from 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 5, followed by a live wrap-up of Allstate 400 at the Brickyard Qualifying Day events from 5-6 p.m. that evening.
In addition to coverage all across America, the IMS Radio Network's broadcast of the race will be available around the globe. The American Forces Radio Network will broadcast the race to more than 175 countries and territories, covering all United States military facilities worldwide. The Allstate 400 at the Brickyard is also on XM Satellite Radio's NASCAR channel and on the Internet at NASCAR.com.
