The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one of the most famous landmarks in the world. Opened in 1909, it is synonymous with speed and racing around the world.

There are three annual motor racing events at the Speedway: the Indianapolis 500 in May, the Brickyard 400 in July and the Red Bull Indianapolis GP in August. A trip to any day of competition at those events provides an unforgettable mixture of sight, sound, speed and excitement.

But the Speedway also is a fun place to visit even when the engines aren't roaring. The IMS Hall of Fame Museum is one of the world's leading museums dedicated to auto racing history and motorsports, and Grounds Tours provide behind-the-scenes access to many iconic structures and places at the track. Golfers also can enjoy the experience of playing 18 holes at Brickyard Crossing Golf Course, a Pete Dye-designed, championship-caliber public course that includes four holes inside the Speedway's famous oval.
